  • How and when did you start sewing?
    I began sewing clothes when I was 15 years old, back in 2015, at the home of a retired tailor I knew. Here, I learned the fundamental techniques of garment construction and sewing. This experience was incredibly rewarding and ignited my passion for textiles.

    Two years ago, I embarked on creating my own textile wall hangings. The inspiration for these came during my time at the Textile School in Holte, where I started experimenting with quilting techniques. I was captivated by the three-dimensional surfaces that emerged from this method, which allowed me to explore the interplay of form, colour and texture, particularly through the use of contrasting colours.

  • How would you describe your style?

    I draw immense inspiration from the female artist Sonia Delaunay. Her dynamic use of colour and geometry in her paintings influences my work, infusing it with a sense of vitality and movement.

    Currently, I am in my second semester at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, studying Clothing and Textiles, where I continue to evolve my creative expression.
